I love this dress but is it a bit too tight for a registry office wedding?

Am thinking red cardigan & red shoes.

I think it's lovely, defo do the red cardi and shoe. Generally I think it's a case of whatever goes at registry office weddings- ive been to some where it's big dresses, top hat style then others with some simple frocks and open collars!!

BunnyLebowski · 11/02/2015 20:27

Ooh that's lovely Envy .

If you've got the figure for it, it'll look fab. Red sounds fine but I'd maybe go for accessories in the turquoisey teal or even the yellow. Fab dress!

MyGastIsTinselled · 11/02/2015 20:36

Ha, I'm not sure I've got the figure for it, am size 10 mostly but only 5ft 0 so look bigger

I love it, I would certainly wear it for a wedding.

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 11/02/2015 20:38

It's so lovely.. Perfect for a wedding!

BikeRunSki · 11/02/2015 20:39

Looks fine for a registry office wedding

MyGastIsTinselled · 11/02/2015 20:46

Well I've ordered it, maybe back for further opinions when I try it on!

Good luck!

pictish · 11/02/2015 20:47

Yes it's fine for either church or registry office, with the added bonus of being able to wear it again...and again...and again.
It's a lovely dress.

MyGastIsTinselled · 11/02/2015 20:55

And cheap tooGrin

To think...I might have taste after all!

Only thing I would worry about is the length, being short myself I fine mid calf difficult, I cant tell how long its supposed to be?

MyGastIsFlabbered · 13/02/2015 20:08

Ok so it arrived & I LOVE it, but what do you think? I already had the shoes but need a cardigan & other accessories. Also not sure what to do with my hair as its pretty short these days. (Didn't include my face as I've got a stinking cold & look awful!)

Brandnewattitude · 13/02/2015 20:13

Yes really lovely.

weaselsquirrel · 13/02/2015 20:53

I want that dress but I could never pull it off as my thighs are too big and I don't have much in the breast department.

MyGastIsTinselled · 13/02/2015 21:06

I'm honestly not fishing for compliments, but I wasn't sure I could pull it off either, definitely not blessed in the norks department and I do still see myself as fat (despite losing nearly 2 1/2 stone) but I'm going to go with it anyway!

I think it looks lovely, your very slim!

weaselsquirrel · 13/02/2015 21:10

What size did you need to order, just had a look on the website it is amazing! Can't believe I've never heard of it. I'm not much taller 5ft 2. Well done on the weight loss I have about 2st to loose, I've got down from 13st to 11st 6.

I ordered a size 10 & it fits fine. I also have the Ophelia in red which I bought for my 40th last year but that's in a size 12 & the chest gapes a little Sad

Thank you everyone.

What's the quality of the dress like? Smile

Love those styles.

Ohmygrood · 13/02/2015 21:26

That's really gorgeous.
I think a green or yellow cardi.

Ohmygrood · 13/02/2015 21:26

or a wrap

MamaLazarou · 13/02/2015 21:36

It's a lovely dress and looks gorgeous on you, OP. Have a wonderful time.

MyGastIsTinselled · 13/02/2015 23:37

The wedding's not until May but I was browsing and this one caught my eye.

Regarding quality, it seems like decent fabric and is well put together. My other one washes nicely (although is a pain to iron!).

Ok so dress & shoes are sorted, could you lovely people help me find an appropriate cardigan?
