Ones which won't singe bits of my hair off like last time?

I had to get a fringe cut due to said singed bits, now I want to grow it out, I'm thinking 70s flicks is the way forward- but I have fragile, fine hair and I don't want to damage it irreparably. Is this possible?

Do I need ceramic tongs?

Heat protector? If so, which one?

I am completely clueless.

You won't like my answer, but honestly I have the same hair type as you, and the only way to keep it healthy is not to use direct heat on it. It's tricky because when you have fine hair, curling or waving it makes it look much fuller. My hair completely changed when I ditched all heat styling tools, and if I do have to use a hairdryer, then I use it on a low heat or cool setting.

There are lots of other ways of getting curls etc into your hair, but you have to find what suits your lifestyle, hair length and how much time you have.
Sock buns are great to for curls and waves if you put your hair into one slightly damp overnight.
Old fashioned as well but rag rollers are also fantastic.
Save the heat for special occasions.

Thanks- my hair is already curly, so I use the BB big hair the body of it and ceramic straighteners on the fringe every day. It's not that I need to curl it so much as do something with the fringe while it grows out.

Without heat products, my hair is crazy! I do occasionally let the curls dry naturally with lots of conditioner, but that takes ages and is impossible for everyday.

Any ceramic tong recommendations?

Tethers is the bbc kind to your hair or is it like intense heat styling?

I weaned myself off GhDs and my hair is in sooo much better condition - but I want the bouncy blowdry look now my hair has actually grown past my shoulders.

It seems fine- it doesn't exactly do it good, but not as harsh as straighteners, so hair doesn't frazzle.

I have www.very.co.uk/remington-silk-ci96s1-ultimate-styler/1412574222.prd these ones and they are fucking amazing. I have thick naturally curly hair but at the moment I am loving the loose waves I get with these.

They heat up to 230 which is too hot my hair (didn't burn it off but it smelled a bit singed!) but you can adjust the heat from 180-230.

They are on sale at Very as well at the moment.

I recently bought some Babyliss tongs, very impressed as they have adjustable heat settings so you have a bit of control.....might be good for your hair if you can use a lower heat than usual. They were just under £20 in Boots, have a 20-something mm barrel so not too tight curls.

I really hate typing on my phone! Anyway, that's how it looks on my hair, doesn't frizz and the bed stays in. I'm loving my hair like this at the moment.
