Modern perms - thinking maybe Aveda do one?

I saw an re-run of 10 years younger and the woman had a perm which looked fab. It was first aired in 2007 so not that long ago. I wanted something that have my hair beach waves!

Gave my hair beachy waves!

I had a modern perm (not aveda) and it was awful. Straight to tops of ears then kind of flattened zig-zaggy. Luckily only lasted a couple of months. Didn't do the condition of my hair any favours though.
