I'm sure this has been done before, but what are your favorite jeans?

I am currently wearing Gap Always Skinny jeans, which I like but are not great for a muffin top (I have one).

I'm a size UK 10 or so, 27 in Gap.

Thoughts? I would be willing to venture into semi-expensive ones if I thought it were worth it.

I got some straight legs in the Toast sale after Christmas. Love them! Great cut for me (curvy 14 with a tummy) and really nice denim and good "build quality".

BikeRunSki · 07/02/2015 16:32

They were £40 ish in sake, normally £100 ish. I will definitely get more, even at full price.

Uniqlo- good value & quality. No holes in the knees yet and they are a year old if not more.

Hate jean shopping. Got a bootcut pair today from next. £45 - They help lift bum and hide tum :)

I've recently had a spate of ordering and returning a lot of jeans, I have some gap always skinny as wardrobe basics, my other regularly worn pairs are Topshop Jamie's although quite high waisted and Zara mid rise soft denim skinny jeans. In terms of premium I was really impressed with Rag and Bone mid rise skinny jeans, and current Elliot high rise skinnys. Keep an eye on the outnet as I picked up a couple of pairs at 50-60% discount.

Can't beat Zara for variety and options with waist and leg length in my book.

Thanks everyone - Sun, do you find that Rag and Bone/Elliot mid-rise/high-rise are more forgiving on the tummy than Gap Always skinny? (not that I think Always Skinny are "bad", just not perfect). Or do you not have tummy issues...?

This is the second mention of Toast jeans I've heard in the past week, I think I'll buy a pair.

thanks all.

I am a bit limited needing a 33-34 inch leg, I like Boden straight legs, Per Una Roma straight legs and I have just picked up a pair of XL bootlegs Blush from the Next clearance pages for £10 which fit beautifully.

Sunmakesmesmile · 08/02/2015 08:32

I think the main difference between Gap always skinny and the others I've tried is the denim and amount of stretch, so the premium seem to hold you in more, but my most recent Zara pair are also great for doing that so not necessarily a ££ thing. As I've found you have to try on an awful lot of pairs on to find the best fit.

JapaneseMargaret · 08/02/2015 08:41

I have a pair of Gap always skinnies that my DH bought me, so I never actually tried them on. They do fit me well.

But my most flattering pair are my old worn-out 7fAMks.

I'm 5"9.5' size 10.
