Picked them up in black for £30 quid in the sale. They were marked up at £40, but because I couldn't make my mind up they said I could have them for £30. I'm thinking just for the school run, days out with DS etc. What do you think?

They look comfy and practical and warm! I have some in a similar style which I love for all those reasons.

Fcukfifa · 06/02/2015 16:14

I think they are awful looking sorry, but very sensible

hellsbellsmelons · 06/02/2015 16:21

I think they are great if you are over 70 YO.
They may look OK on though.
Do you want them for comfort and walking?
If so and you like them then go for it.
Seem very reasonably priced!

Wailywailywaily · 06/02/2015 16:26

£30 is a good price for a pair of practical boots. I would probably wear them to death but according to MN I have no style.

Lifesalemon · 06/02/2015 16:56

I would wear them,I think they look nice.

ouryve · 06/02/2015 16:58

Perfect school run boots! Lovely and warm and practical.

itstheyearzero · 06/02/2015 17:14

Oh dear, I did worry about the granny aspect. However the man in the shop told me that Rocket Dog boots are flying off the shelves at the moment, he didn't mention that it was people over 70 buying them! Shock

I think I'll keep them then.

I own them - and I'm 28.

Actually, so does my friend...

They're not beautiful, but they're warm and practical and look fine.

Hoppinggreen · 06/02/2015 17:53

Very......um...........practical.

LegArmpits · 06/02/2015 18:02

I had a pair of beige Hush Puppies like that and they were the best things I've ever put on my feet.

StayGoldPonyBoy · 06/02/2015 18:08

I'm not a fan I'm afraid but they do look warm and comfy!

ZaraW · 06/02/2015 18:24

They are practical cold weather boots. I have a couple of pairs of snow boots and they serve their purpose when the weather is bad. They are fine I wouldn't return them.

Elliptic5 · 06/02/2015 19:00

I've had a pair of these for ages and I think they are great, I quite often wear them instead of my Kensington Uggs as the Uggs are so difficult to get on.

Greengardenpixie · 06/02/2015 23:39

I had a pair too...they were quite small fitting so i had to size up. I found them extremely comfy, warm and looked great even though i had traipsed through the snow on the school run. I havent worn them in ages. Think they are at the back of my cupboard somewhere only because i have way too many.

Milllli · 07/02/2015 02:10

They are fine for school runs and playing with the kids. Rocket dogs are really comfy and I know lots of young women who wear them. Very trendy and popular.

Runningupthathill82 · 07/02/2015 11:25

Rocket Dogs are horrible, sorry. They make me think of a teacher or social worker trying to look trendy. Usually teamed with coloured tights and a Fat Face wrap dress.
They do look warm and comfy though!

specialsubject · 07/02/2015 11:46

do they keep out rain and cold? Can you walk in them? Will they last?

in which case, they are fit for purpose. MN would have you wear fugly high heels and open toes throughout winter.

good buy.

Milllli · 07/02/2015 12:59

Special I often wonder who wears those ugly open toe ankle boots .

specialsubject · 07/02/2015 15:07

now you know!

amazes me that you can go into shops selling lots of shoes and NOTHING is wearable.
