Should I persevere with my grey or not?

It's been about 6 months since I had my hair last coloured. I'm 47 don't wear makeup except mascara. My hair is brown with white coming under the fringe and in patches elsewhere. I quite like my white streak but as it is growing down my hair looks pretty dreadful as there are white bits and brown bits..very uneven.

My Dad died on saturday so in a couple of weeks I will have to lead his funeral.. meet and greet etc and now I am (shallowly) I guess, wondering whether to give up and get it done, and start again when my hair is more white than it is now.

Here is how it looks at the mo (harsh lighting!!!)

My Dad would laugh at me for caring, I'm sure but he was an immaculately groomed man and would get my dilemma!

Should I persevere with my grey or not?

You're not old enough to go grey imo. Even those models with young faces and grey hair don't convince me.

It would look much nicer dyed.

Sorry about your Dad.

Dye your hair - I know several people who have gone grey and I really don't understand their decision! It is ageing and you don't need to embrace old age yet Smile

Im 40 soon and Ive a ton of grey white showing loads more than yours because I CBA touching roots up every three weeks so I left it. I mean I have a good 1.5 inches of grey. When ties up its all streaky.

But enough is enough Ive decided it is too soon to grow the grey, my skin is quite good. So after speaking to a few colourist Im getting it took up a couple of shades in block colour. Then next month getting foils with highlights for the first time to lessen the grey/black contrast.

I'm kind of accepting I will have to pay regular to keep it in shape Sad
I'm also getting the 'stacked' bob like the pic posted.

All getting done tomorrow -sorry not brave enought to post before and after pics.

Sorry for the loss of your Dad. I've just had the same decision to make but am older. I got fed up having my roots done every four weeks. I had it cut in short style before Xmas and have now got used to it. Get a good cut and give it a go. You can always dye it/grow it again if you really don't like it.
