Big/wide feet..where do you get your shoes?

I really like nice shoes but am struggling to find attractive work shoes for my size 41 feet.They are also quite wide.
I like Ash for boots and trainers but am finding mid-height work shoes hard.High heels are now a bit uncomfortable (probably have early bunions) and I'm not ready for Marks & Spencer footglove just yet.
Any ideas?

Most plus sized clothes retailers do shoes in wide fittings, have a look at Evans on line, Yours and Simply Be.

I love a brand called Alegria by pg lite. They are rather unusual and dead comfy. I have exceptionally wide feet and lymph issues so find it really difficult to find shoes to fit.

A lot of great brands have been mentioned but next also do big sizes and a wide fit

Snap - I have the same size and issue. I have a lovely pair of ankle boots from M&S, shoes from Evans and Hotter and some from Ecco and Gabor. The main thing I have found is that you have to weed through - there is no one store or brand I can turn to.

I find Next wide fitting ones good for heels, avoid the hard shiny plastic ones but the suede look type ones are great, really comfy and look good.
Flats are an eternal problem for me as my feet seem wider when splayed out flat

Don't diss M&S Footglove. My favourite and most comfortable work shoes are Footglove. They aren't all granny shoes.

The problem with most specialist retailers of wide shoes is that a large proportion of their customer base is likely to be older and/or need very "safe" or orthopaedic shoes. IME, that means that you're unlikely to find one shop or online retailer from which to buy all your footwear; you have to shop around to pick out suitable styles from a sea of shoes you wouldn't be seen dead in!

I have nightmare feet - size 8, wide, need round toes (2nd toe longer), bunions, flat and I wear orthotics. Having said that, the rest of me is very conventional - 5'8" and a size 10-12 and I refuse to wear frumpy shoes.

I've found good shoes and boots at all of the following:

• Really Wild Company - for v expensive but ideal wear-for-ever Spanish riding boots
• Peter Hahn - mail order site, which has a lot of outfits for ladies of a certain age who want to look like sailors, but they sell the fantastic Hassia pumps which make my feet look very neat. They also do lots of other German brands which are designed for wide feet. Some are fine.

Clarks and Next have a good range, sometimes Hotter Shoes and Gabor as well. It's not easy finding wide trendy styles.

I think we have the same feet! I've found some good shoes and boots in Jones (in the sale).

Forgot to mention Hotter - lots of very old lady styles and one or two really good ones.

Ohh, come to the dark side, once you've worn a M&S Footglove you'll be hooked forever. So, soooo comfy.

Yeah, maybe they are not super fashionable but they are cheap and really, really, really COMFORTABLE

Alternatively, you can look at the wider fit shoes in Clarks, I try to avert my eyes from the more stylish regular fit shoes and head straight to the wider fit ones.

Thanks everyone.I'd never even thought about of some of these.Cointreauversial and durpdurp I do have 1 nice 5 year old pair from Footglove but I'm quite disappointed with the current range..maybe they'll bring out some good summer styles!

Size 41 and wide, with added problems caused by too many stupid sporting accidents in my youth. For work (I work in a university and can be quite flexible in my outfits)

Jospeh Siebel You have to search for non-fugly ones but they are very comfortable and perfect for the wider of foot
United Nude Fold Available in a wide variety of colours and 3 heights. The mid ones are surprisingly comfortable for the non-heel wearer and, because they are basically made of very strong elastic, adjust to wide feet without rubbing. Not cheap though.
For a bit of glam Poetic Licence Backlash always do the trick. Again, available in two heel heights.

M&S Foxglove -you have to be selective but my fav work sandals came from there, also had a few nice pairs of boots. Not all fuddy duddy.
