To give me some ideas. Hopefully not too expensive.

I'm very much a jeans and t.shirt girl but want to put the boat out as there's going to be a lot of very eligible men there - and quite a few 'shlebs too..

love your ebay dress mt - it's beautiful.

Agree with cod about the 'fascinators' (what a bizarre word) they're horrid.

Pity you're veggie I could really see you in a cossack hat.

Don't forget to post a pic of the final outfit!

TheDaVinciCod · 24/10/2006 11:37

that HAIR!

think weinter weddigns are soooooooo chic

Monkeytrousers · 24/10/2006 11:38

Yes, the red coat you posted would help sort that out but I think I'm going to have to go for the brown one as I can only afford it by installements - especially as now me and DP aren't 'together' I won't be getting an xmas pressie this year and I don't think M&S do installments

JoolsToo · 24/10/2006 11:40

oh yes am

I like winter weddings because I like to warm

I think I'd go for your coat idea rather than a shrug or wrap myself - January can be freezing

TheDaVinciCod · 24/10/2006 11:43

Yes Jools, coat and cossack hat for church, wrap for hotel reception. Why wrap=crap Cod? Just thinking women of a certain age and upper arms...

MrsDoolittle · 24/10/2006 12:07

I have to agree with Cod here. There is something a bit wishy washy about wraps and fascinators in winter. Whatever you do with them, change colour, material or whatever, they still belong in summer.
You need strong, definite dress and colour in the winter.
Dress glamourously for the cold. Beautifully classic warm coat, boots (change to shoes later), long glamourous scarf or shawl, and fake fur hat. If your coat is a neutral shade wear with with definitely coloured accessories.
Great boots!!

And I love the Celtic Sheepskin website.

TheDaVinciCod · 24/10/2006 12:08

she is going ot pull!

Monkeytrousers · 24/10/2006 12:15

Maybe a fake fur wrap then? The same site has plenty of others - look under 'fashion'.
