Christening Outfits

Having DS christened probably April/May (have to confirm date tomorrow). He will be 6/7 months by then.

We both need an outfit - I really don't want him in a frock - he is what is known around my way as a 'boster' and he really won't look good with his moobs in taffeta. I have got a lovely fluffy wrap with a hood to go around him like a cape.
Any ideas - I'm not a fan of dressing babies like mini adults so thinking maybe a really nice all in one or something.

I'm not sure about myself either -
I'm 5'1 and a curvy 10/12 - big boobs and smallish waist. I don't like patterns other than spots or stripes really - no floral (just don't like it on me). Also any ideas?

Thanks :)

For your DS - perhaps something from Emile et Rose ?

For you - I think if you're not keen on pattern I'd go for a striking colour that really suits you. Any fave colours?

what about a smart romper like this?

Whippet81 · 03/02/2015 03:29

Thanks both.

Colours wise I don't really mind anything but not keen on red. I have ombré type hair light brown to blonde and I'm quite fair.

What sort of styles do you like? What about a pencil dress or similar? Do you want sleeves?

Reiss have some nice dresses or you could go for a pencil skirt and long-sleeved silky blouse?

I do like the Lady V type dresses - have never had one though - I do like the Pretty Woman spotty dress type thing.

I have never found what really suits me.

Snap - we're having my mum's neighbour make dungarees for him using the cream raw silk from my wedding skirt. He'll wear a blue shirt underneath. I hadn't given my outfit any thoughts yet though.

What about something from Lindy Bop?
