Coco Chanel

My DP has surpassed himself and bought me coco Chanel as a present from his week away. I'm pregnant though and it's made me feel rather sicky.
Does anyone like this perfume? Should I wait until after baby is born to use it and hopefully like it?
I originally had my eye on another Chanel think coco madomisel.
Does anyone find coco Chanel heavy? Is it an older lady perfume too?

I find it quite heavy, especially the edp (I like it though) I'd put it away and retry after pregnancy!

OneLittleLady · 01/02/2015 23:12

I love it but it could just be too heavy for you right now. I'd put it away and try again a few months after your baby is born so your hormones and sense of smell have time to settle down a bit. What a lovely gift though

I'd stash it away too. I hated certain perfumes while pregnant - ones which I don't usually mind. Also off topic my colleagues coconut body spray made me vomit more than once while pregnant. I now hate all coconutty scented things.

Thank you for replies. Yes I will put aside til a few months after baby born, maybe try it on my first evening out post birth.
I got a feeling it's not a day Purfume but an evening one

I used to wear Coco Mademoiselle but now were the classic, Coco. It's a classic perfume that you'll grow to love! Keep it for sure.

MilkThistle187 · 02/02/2015 12:13

Coco Mademoiselle is much lighter than Coco. I can't wear Coco, or No 5, they both give me a headache.

cathpip · 02/02/2015 12:24

I love coco Chanel, it is my day perfume and I have had quite a few compliments on it. I do have no5 but find that too much when I'm pregnant.

Turquoiseblue · 02/02/2015 12:41

I d say put it away, I couldn't wear my fave perfume after I associated it with morning sickness!
Though if you think it s really not you I d doubt your sense of smell will change that much....

nickEcave · 02/02/2015 13:54

Long term (15 years +) Coco wearer here. I couldn't wear any perfume when pregnant as my sense of smell was heightened to an extent where most artificial smells made me want to vomit. Normal sense of smell didn't really come back until I finished breast feeding. Definitely hold onto it.

LeoandBoosmum · 02/02/2015 17:44

I love it but you need a little! Try after you've had your baby.
I think too may people wear Mademoiselle now tbh...it's nice though.

Greengardenpixie · 02/02/2015 22:08

I have had a bottle for literally years. I just cant get to like it. I would definetly keep it and smell it after and see what you think. Personally, i dont like the smell i get from it afterwards. Chanel no5 is so much nicer.

ourglass · 02/02/2015 22:10

I've worn it every day for 5 years. It's perfect
