Leather culottes

So, I find myself strangely drawn to these in my local store but can't decide if my fondness for hides (real or pleather variety) has gone a step too far.
Should I scratch the itch with a pleather sale bargain rather than spending on a potentially passing trend, go for these babies or swerve the culotte trend as a passing fad????

The idea of leather culottes sounds awful but they actually look really cool. Love the picture of amber. Normally Rita ora (name right? ) wouldn't be a style inspiration for me but she does make these look really good.
