Handbag/rucksack suggestions?

I think I'm after a bag that doesn't exist but am hoping someone is going to be able to show me the exact thing that I need. :)
I have 3 children, 2 of whom are still in nappies. What I really want is a nice looking, decent sized bag that I can use when not with the kids (bit of makeup, wallet, keys, notebook, phone) but when I am with them I can also throw in nappies, wipes, snacks and beakers.

At the moment I use an oversized tan leather shopper from M&S but the slouchiness (sp?) and the fact that it's just one big compartment means I can never actually find anything and end up having to take most of the contents out when looking for keys or whatever (so annoying when it happens multiple times in a day). Also, it's awkward to carry and hold hands to cross roads etc. Alternatively, if we're having an active day I use my gym bag which a basic black sports backpack. Very practical and great because I wear it on my back so am totallyhands free but very unattractive and I don't like to use it if we are going somewhere 'nice'.

Is there such a thing as a stylish rucksack, maybe with compartments? Large enough for all the crap I carry around but nice enough for me to use as a general handbag too?
