Face cream sitting on skin

What is the solution ??

Cleanse - water & wash
Tone - Clinique no2
Moisturise - murad

During the day if I rub my face the moisturiser rubs off.
My skin is getting no benefit from the products I use.

What am I doing wrong ?

Could you be using too much? Could it be too heavy? Maybe a lighter moisturiser? I bought a Clinique sonic cleansing brush and my skins now much more efficient at absorbing the moisturiser.
