Help me find a wedding outfit please...

Hi all
I'm off to a wedding at the end of Feb and am desperate to find an outfit. I'm late 40's and medium build. Im hopeless at putting outfits together so I'm hoping for some help on here
I'd like a flowery (cheerful) dress and then a jacket or something to cover up. I don't suit bare arms - touch of the bingo wings going on..also think it might be chilly!
Can anyone give me any ideas please?

Hi Fizziebizzie1
It might be useful to give a few more details.
How much are you hoping to spend? How tall are you and what's your colouring? Do you have any favourite colours, any shoes it would be useful for the outfit to coordinate with? Are you going to be outside at all? Is it a formal or casual wedding ...

phase eight have some nice dresses.
Also look at Coast and Monsoon.
JOHN LEWIS also has loads

I'm thinking February and needing a bit of warmth.

This is lovely and would be a good place to start.

Not cheerful enough?

Would cover your arms

Too fitted?

Hi Everyone
Many thanks for all of your helpful suggestions
I'm 5'4" and size 12/14 with (coloured) blonde hair - bit dumpy tbh
Those pencil dresses are stunning but I haven got the figure for them. I adore Wowser's scuba dress recommendation (although I have no idea what a scuba dress actually is - hopefully not made of rubber!!!)
Would I get cream shoes, fascinator etc to go with that? Or should I go for accessories in that really dark shade of pink?
Could I get away with a pashmina or do you think I would need some sort of jacket?
i typed a really long reply on the train earlier. But most have lost the connection as it's not actually posted - sorry

Oh yes! I didn't spot that! Smooth scuba fabric

I think a pashmina would be nice with that dress (if it is not too scubary!)

I wonder if any clever S&B people could find some accessories?
