Black trousers. What style?

I haven't bought any work trousers forever due to pregnancies, maternity leave and a preference for dresses at work anyway but I really fancy some black work trousers.

I'm not sure where to start with styles though. Tapered ankle seems to be the thing at the moment. Is that ok for a podgy size 12? Would another style be better?

What shoes do you wear with ankle length trousers? I have a bit of a trek from the station so can't go too high with heels.

Yep, cigarette style is the way to go. Any shoes go with. Flats, wedges, heels.
