What's wrong with my jeans?

It doesn't seem to matter where I buy them from, I have always had the same problem.

In the shop, and after every fresh wash, my jeans sit perfectly against my body.

Within about 20/30 minutes they've slipped down around my hips, making them look too tight on me, and pop the pockets inside out a bit. They look fine again if I hoik them up to the start position, but it doesn't last long.

I've tried bigger jeans in case I'm wearing them too small, and they're ridiculously, obviously too big, so never hold up at all. I've also tried to downsize and it's not much different, only more obviously a muffin-top!

Please give me a solution someone!

Have you tried a belt which should secure them?

I have found since buying higher waisted jeans (works better with my muffin top than my old hipsters) that they fit better, but a belt definitely prevent them slipping!

I think you need smaller jeans. They all tighten up when washed but soon relax a bit.

I was trying to avoid a belt because I have physical hand problems and it takes me so long to juggle with it!

As I mentioned in the OP, I've tried smaller jeans and they don't help. They're slightly worse because they're too low on the bum when I bend over #crackalert!

I have to belt. can you look for a popper belt, might be easier. I used to have one for khakis ...

Buy a snake belt from Amazon. They are cool in a retro way, stretchy, comfy and really easy to clip to fasten.

I have the same problem since I've had children. Exactly the same. I think it's my slightly rounded (ahem) stomach as the sort of slip down to sit below it. And I really dislike belts Hmm.

I'm thinking of trying really high waisted next.

Could it be that you are buying jeans with some polyester in them? I find that jeans with a high cotton content (ideally 98% cotton, 2% elastane) don't slip down. I've binned all my jeans that had polyester in them.

Nowhere special - you just have to look at the label. The ones I wear most are from New Look, Sainsburys, Gap and Dorothy Perkins. I used to wear M&S jeggings but they are long gone due to the polyester content.

I have the same problem and have found that a belt doesn't help. I now stick to high waisted jeans and don't have the problem although I could do with losing my tummy so they look better! New look always seem to have them, and next but the next ones are always too long for me-must have short legs!New look often have straight and bootcut high waisted in store, but only seem to have skinny online.

It could be the jeans you choose don't match your body shape.

My cousin has a similar issue with jeans falling down but it's because she has a round sticky out bum. She now buys jeans designed for her shape ( applebums I think?)

I personally go for higher waist or Gap curvy fit jeans as I tend to get muffin top in other types (I have a bit of a tummy and hips but slim legs and bum)

Some of the apple bottom jean styles can be a bit garish but they do some plainish styles too. TK Maxx get them in occasionally.

Yikes - apple bottom? I have no idea but I don't think it's exceptionally sticky-outy! My waist is smaller than my hips despite the muffin top when I sit down so if jeans fit on the waist then they are too right on the hips and fall down, then bulge out at the pockets. If jeans are too loose on the waist then I can fit both my hands down the back which isn't a good look!

Try GAP high rise skinnies, or True Straight - both good for people with hips and waists. Or Levis Bold Curve here

Cherry jeans from Oasis completely sort this problem out. My jeans always did the same thing until I got a pair of those.
