Did I post at the wrong time of day for the Bra Ladies?

That's sizes around 36H if I have counted correctly. Be aware that sports bra sizing is a little odd at times. My best sports bra is the shock absorber run, I think it goes up to a H size up at least once in band and down in cup

Superherosidekick · 24/01/2015 07:31

For that particular bra I mean

HazleNutt · 24/01/2015 09:06

36H, but as said, sports bras can vary. I need my normal size in Freya sports bras, and people have said the same about Panache, but for example Shock absorber is very tight and I need to go up at least one back size.

Thank you ladies. Will be off shopping today. X

Ooh can I harass bra intervention folk while they're in here please to spare opening a new thread.....I'm a 27 under boobs and about 30 round them, is that even possible?? My boobs are almost non existent and I've not been wearing a bra but it's uncomfortable and unflattering, my pre pregnancy bras are waaaaay too big (32D!) what size could I be? Thanks and sorry for hijacking thread!

Superherosidekick · 24/01/2015 10:33

I am not one of the bra gurus but try 28C, they are not easy to find in the shops but plenty online.
You may need a 26 and there are limited retailers for those but I gather for hanging around on these threads that slimmer women need bigger not smaller bands than they measure as a general rule

Highlandbird · 24/01/2015 10:44

Thank you superhero, my nursing bras are a 28D and they are huge on me...will order a few online to try as I'm too far from shops, looking forward to (potentially!) wearing proper bras for the first time in four years!!

SorrelForbes · 24/01/2015 10:48

There's a brand called Made In Preston who do 26 bands.

StatisticallyChallenged · 24/01/2015 11:11

Hughlandbird, as above try 28B and 28C to start. Unfortunately made in preston have apparently gone wholesale only. John Lewis stock 28c (just type 28c in to the main search box, it actually works!) and for fancier options Mimi Holliday do them too (I think the company is Damaris)

Highlandbird · 24/01/2015 11:28

Hi, I looked at made in Preston and they only do a DD up, will try John Lewis next. Thank you Grin

StatisticallyChallenged · 24/01/2015 11:30

I suspect you will be ok with a 28 - I'm guessing with a 27" band you don't have much, erm, padding on your ribs so you shouldn't need to go below your measurement. Lots of us who are odd numbered underbusts have to round down, especially if you have larger breasts as when they're heavier they pull the band
