Tights galore!

I really need some advice on which opaque tights to buy.
I have spent a fortune on supermarket brands and high street ones, and I'm fed up with them not fitting well, falling down etc.
I have decided to bug a couple of pairs of good ones, and after doing some research I have narrowed it down to two different brands. They are expensive, but I'm hoping they will save me money in the long term. I wear a lot of skirts that fall on the knee, so I would like a Matt, very dark pair (no, or very minimal skin showing through). I would also like them not to feel too thick/heavy.
The two brands I am looking at are:
Wolford Mat Opaque 80 and Falke pure Matt 100D.
Has anyone tried these or can recommend any?

I've got the Wolford ones. They're lovely and have withstood many machine washes. But I probably prefer my Matalan ones to be honest!

No idea but do try TKMaxx for both of your choices for a bit cheaper- I was amazed to see them reduced in price there recently!

Are the Wolford ones dark enough at 80D? I have been wearing M&S autograph velvet touch 100D, lovely coverage, but it's the third pair I've had where the stitching from the waistband unravels!

Wolford are fantastic. Well worth the money

I would say the 80 den Wolford one aren't dark enough actually which is why I prefer my Matalan 100 den (or they might even be 200 den, can't remember).

I have a slight preference for Falke over Wolford, but actually because they have a slightly higher waist IME, which I find more comfortable to wear. Both are great though, and last really well

I have ordered the Falke ones with uk tights. I was able to find a code for 20% off. I think they will have the darker coverage that I wanted.

I hope they are good for you.

I only ever wear hold ups (never understand how anyone can bear tights), but I have wolford black opaque hold ups that are seven years old and still perfect with no snags or rubs. And I shamelessly bung them in the washing machine.

Update: Falke tights are fab! Love them and they feel so comfortable. The perfect coverage I was looking for. Only downside is that the sizing is big. I followed their sizing but if I was buying again I would get a size smaller. (I'm tall, but have short legs which I think is the problem!)
In case anyone is interested a also got 120 denier Red or dead tights in TKMaxx. Not as nice as the Falke but cheaper at £4.99, and they feel good on. They also have falke tights but not in my size!
