Help! I have a social event tomorrow night. Due to baby weight bot yet shifted I can't wear my standby little black dress. I have 2 outfits but Im never sure what lounge suits means for women.

Outfit 1 is black cigarette trousers with a metallic top that nicely skims te post baby tummy. Wear with black heels.

Outfit 2 is a frugi breastfeeding dress. 3/4 length sleeves, dark green with spots Boden type pattern. Can wear with black heels or boots.

It's a dinner in a hotel type event.

I wouldn't have a clue what 'lounge suits' means, but I prefer the sound of your first outfit.

Perhaps call the hotel if you don't know anyone going you can ask? It might be you have to wear a dress.

Deffo outfit 1, sounds really nice

Lounge suits is a term for men and basically means a smart, grey suit. As opposed to morning dress, black tie, white tie (all for men, clearly).
Normal daywear (smart) would be appropriate, but the message is NOT fancy frocks or ballgowns.
I also think option 1 sounds good.

ThAnks everyone, that's pretty unanimous!
