Where will I find a really nice...

... Dressing gown?

All I want is a nice, plain dressing gown. Ideally it will be grey or cream but I'm not fussy. It might be ankle length but knee is fine. It needs to be soft and comfy but flattering.

It sounds simple doesn't it? But I've been searching (unsuccessfully) for years.

Any ideas?

Any good?

Try white company, lots of options there, the waffle ones are nice. In the summer I think a nice silk one is flattering too, I got my last silk one at figleaves.

I have been searching for the perfect dressing gown too, I always look like an old marm in any dressing gown I've bought.

Thinking about the ugg duffield gown looks very warm as well if that's what youre after

There is no such thing as a flattering dressing gown. You will look like a sack of potatoes dressed in a towel with a rope round your middle, unless you happen to be 6'10" with a 18" waist.

But assuming you are not planning to wear it outside it doesn't really matter.

Don't but the white company one with a hood. It makes it really uncomfortable as its so heavy.

I bought a mens one from here as a gift (Cowdray black luxury velour), nicer quality than my White Co one.

I've not figured out how to do links on my iPad but check out a company called Bonsoir. They do traditional dressing gowns in brushed cotton. Not cheap, but I'm about to replace mine that I've had for about 12 years.

Damnit. I was really hoping there was an 'MN dressing gown' that was 'the one' and you were all going to recommend it.

I guess Unexpected is right, but I once saw Izzy on Grays Anatomy wearing a stunning one and have been on a mission ever since.

I'll check out the links. Thank you.
