A belated happy birthday from me, too, Stropps. Did DH live down to your expectations? I am a bit worried that we're the only ones bothering (I would ignore DS's comments, I am afraid I have had to get used to similar). Try to have a relaxing day.

I have enjoyed the dog stories as well - but although I like dogs I don't want one. S DFr's retriever used to eat bars of soap if bathroom doors were left open.

Auriga, I am curious - I know you're having problems with getting back to normal - what form is your cold/cough etc taking? I still have a sore throat most of the time and have to have water at the side of the bed. Are you the same? My voice comes and goes too.

NU, I still cough when I eat, or move from a warm place to cold & still have some chest pain, probably pulled muscles from all the coughing. Throat is better (four weeks on) & I'm less tired and mentally fogged. Top of voice has gone and rest is weedy. Getting over viruses seems to take longer these days. Hope you'll feel better soon. Suggest you don't push the exercise till you're fully better.

I have written 685 (err...) words of not madly deathless prose and really should get up

I've added up my income and outgoings for my tax return, so all I need to do now is log into the infernal system and get it online.

BTW, where's CV? Haven't seen her for ages? Is she on holiday? Did I miss a memo?

I was wondering about her, partly as I want to sell this Biba dress I bought at the choir B&B sale. Some detective work by another kind mums netter revealed that it's not actually totally vintage, but made around 2007, in a collaboration between Biba and Bella Freud. So, it's rather naice, and if I get the right marketplace could fetch me a pretty penny.

CV knows all about eBay, so I wanted to pick her brains...

We are declittering our outhouse. We haven't needed planning permission for any work done to it. It's all to do with height round our way, and some kind of thing about what else you've had done to the house.
