Foundation oxidising!

I wear Lancôme Teint Miracle is shade 010 (beige porcelain). I was colour matched by the Lancôme assistant in Boots. When I first apply it it looks great but when I check in the mirror later I'm sure my face has an orange tinge! I'm now paranoid and have just been looking closely in a mirror in front of the window and I'm sure I can see a tide mark!

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm gutted I've made an expensive mistake and I can't afford to replace it with anything high end. Can anyone recommend a cheap one please?

I would go back to the Lancôme counter you brought it from. They should be able to help you.

I 'turn' some foundations too. Go back and show them. They may have something that works better for you in their range. If not, and the result is not the same as the original consultation, I'd politely enquire about a refund. You purchased on the basis of a colour match and it does not seem unreasonable to expect the intended colour to remain stable?

If you do this regularly to foundation it's always worth getting it applied in store and then leaving to have a coffee before deciding whether to purchase.

In my experience cheaper ranges are even more prone to this problem. I've tried Bourjois and Maybelline recently and had problems. On the other hand, Clarins, Estee Lauder and YSL are fine with my skin. I've had spectacular problems with some Bobbi Brown formulations but not with others - so a case of trial and error?

I found the same with Teint Miracle. It also seemed to slide off my face by the afternoon.
