Help - what shoes with thick black tights

I bought a lovely silk black bird print dress from John Lewis and want to wear it on a night out next week. It's a bit shorter than I'd normally wear so was going to put 60d black tights on with it but my black stilettos look stupid with black tights. Any suggestions what I could look for instead? Normally only wear boots with thicker tights

Ankle boots? Courts?
