Save me from my monochrome wardrobe

I decided a year or so ago to buy more clothes in neutral colours, so I would have lots of things that go together.
This was v successful. Except now I have a wardrobe that is entirely black, white, navy, and taupe (with a few Breton stripe tops for variety).
I reckon I need to buy a couple of items in bright colours / patterns just to stop myself from getting bored.
But what?
I am a bit overweight, size 16-18, generous of boob. Maybe a skirt? A top?! Grateful for any suggestions.

Maybe get some accessories like a statement necklace, scarf or belt.

I have a red cardigan which goes with all my neutral stuff and brightens it up no end. Also an egg-yolk yellow one.

Thank you both for ideas. Strangely I have a red cardigan, but I rarely think to wear it because my girls wear red cardigans to school! A yellow cardigan is a fab idea.
I do have some statement necklaces, but they are a bit tired, and my scarves ditto. Hmmm - will get thinking!

Coloured shoes can add a pop to a monochrome outfit.
