Poncho

What do we think? For wearing with jeans etc instead of a cardi...?

I like it. The downside is that you can't wear a coat over it and that's not ideal at this time of year.

I like it- more for autumn or late winter though cos as pp mentioned you can't wear a coat over it

I like it but could never find the right weather to wear mine, they look so wintry but don't actually offer much heat because they are so loose-fitting all the cold air comes up the back

I suppose I was thinking more late spring, cool summer nights etc. I saw a woman wearing one in the supermarket last autumn and thought it looked good as an alternative to a light jacket. Or for car travel etc when you don't want a jacket.

I have a bright purple one that I bought specifically to wear on the plane (I travel a lot). I've not worn mine outside the house otherwise as I can't seem to find the right weather or temperature to wear it. You don't want it to be windy as it'll fly up, or really cold, and obviously no rain on the horizon. The only time I think it'd work is if you're driving to a shopping mall or the supermarket and you stay mostly inside.

Or it's one you can fold up small and have as a back up woolly in your handbag.
