Hi i've been wearing estee lauder facefinity for a while and LOVE it but can't really justify the expense at the moment.
can anyone recommend anything similar, it must be yellow toned (warm undertones) and nice and light.

also my skins gone a bit mental at the moment and i can only tolerate almond oil as a moisturiser, so ideally a product designed/suited to dry/sensitive skin would be great

thank you in a dvance for ANY ideas Smile

oh god its not called facefinity at all, thats what i used in my youth when there were no lines for powder to sit in

the estee lauder product is Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup

Bourjois Healthy Mix. It's what I wear when I can't afford YSL :)

fooolofbeans · 11/01/2015 21:42

I was also going to say healthy mix, I have tried it and it was too yellow on me.

OttiliaVonBCup · 11/01/2015 21:50

Or Healthy Mix Serum.

I wear 52 and it's yellow toned.
Don't know what the difference is, I suppose The Serum one is for dry skin.

OttiliaVonBCup · 11/01/2015 21:52

As for the second question, I have been using Una Brennan Neroli moisturiser and it's really lovely.

Philoslothy · 11/01/2015 21:53

Una Brennan products are lovely, I like the cleansing oil.

BiancaDelRio · 11/01/2015 21:56

YY to the Bourjois Healthy Mix recommendations. It's definitely yellow toned.

Cannot agree with the Una Brennan Neroli one though. I bought some online and used it once. The smell is hideous and it made my skin freak out.

BiancaDelRio · 11/01/2015 21:58

Ottilia I can send you mine if you like Grin .

OP I'm using this at the moment and it's working miracles on my normal-dry skin.

DaphneMoonCrane · 11/01/2015 21:58

Yes, it's really yellow. I wear shade 52 as well. I prefer the original to the serum. It's quite light but also nice and moisturising, and gives a dewy effect.

Lisa Eldridge (makeup supremo) recommends it because it's virtually undetectable on the skin, even in a magnifying mirror.

DaphneMoonCrane · 11/01/2015 22:00

For moisturiser, try Bioderma Hydrabio cream. Bloody miraculous stuff. My skin is the best it's ever been, and I'm now on the wrong side of 35 Shock

OttiliaVonBCup · 11/01/2015 22:01

I bought it because I ran out of Elemis Pro Collagen samples and didn't want to pay for the full size.

That Neroli Day cream has been a pleasant surprise and my skin looks lovely for a fraction of the price.
Also I ran of YSL Serum and bought a La Roche Posay, again for a fraction of the price one and honestly I' not going back to the YSL one if you'd paid me money.

OttiliaVonBCup · 11/01/2015 22:03

Oh the Embryolisse is next on my list to try, now Boots sell it.

After the Neroli moisturiser.
Grin

BiancaDelRio · 11/01/2015 22:17

Interesting. I bought the Elemis Pro Collagen in a set from QVC before Xmas and have yet to try it. I don't want to break from the Embryolisse as it's working so well though!

It's the Neroli Night Cream I have. Honestly happy to pop it in the post if you want to try it. I only used it once!

OttiliaVonBCup · 11/01/2015 22:28

Ah, mine's the Day one.

Keep it though, retry in a few weeks time, I used to hate Pro collagen with a passion and then it suddenly worked.

MakeMeWarmThisWinter · 11/01/2015 22:54

Bourjois Healthy Mix serum here. I have dry skin with a tendency to red patches and the yellow tones even me up nicely - I just use a pinkish blusher to make me 'me' again Grin

I haven't tried the non serum version so can't compare I'm afraid - the serum one is light and dewy but lasts really well and if I use two full pumps instead of my usual 1.5, it's very good coverage. I imagine it wouldn't work well for oily skin or if you prefer a matte look. I use 51, the lightest shade.

fooolofbeans · 17/01/2015 11:05

sorry for posting and running. fab advice. a pretty resounding unanimous vote for healthy mix! get me to boots Smile Smile Smile

I too prefer yellow toned foundations (others always look pink or Orange on me) and I find l'oreal foundAtions are yellow toned and very good quality. I used to use the visible lift in nude beige but this has been discontinued now, however if you opt for any of there 'golden' shades you'll find they are yellow toned, give great coverage and are not at all drying. I actually prefer L'oreal to all the top brands I have tried.
