Love wearing tunics in the weekend over leggings and would like go find some nice ones I can wear for work over a pair over smart trousers. Prefer online shopping please.

Thank you very much!

Tunics over trousers is too casual door work imo. Maybe try slightly longer shift dresses and opaque tights?

ChlorinePerfume · 11/01/2015 21:38

They is the problem I have. The tunics in my wardrobe are to casual for work. Currently wearing dresses and tights. Problem is that I really really hate tights. Just don't find them comfortable. Roll in summer please.

Maybe try to find a different brand of tights which are more comfortable? My Falke and M and S Autograph tights are honestly as comfortable as any leggings or jeggings. Wolford are great too.

Dresses and opaque are a much better, more professional work look than tunics and leggings.

FATEdestiny · 11/01/2015 23:44

I love Joe Browns tunics

polyhymnia · 11/01/2015 23:45

Or tunics and trousers. Sorry, I stupidly overlooked your mention of trousers. But my point still stands I think.
Though smart trousers and a nice silk blouse (rather than a tunic) are a very good work look too.

Esprit online have a couple which are nice enough for work

HerRoyalNotness · 11/01/2015 23:46

I get tights with no feet, much more comfy, then black socks and boots. Won't work for those days you want to wear shoes though

ChlorinePerfume · 12/01/2015 20:50

Thanks all. Will have a look and perhaps invest in better quality tights. Just don't fancy spending lots on something I don't like wearing.

Suggested the better quality tights because you might find them more comfortable than cheaper ones and start liking them a bit better.

ChlorinePerfume · 20/01/2015 21:47

Had ordered some Apricot tunics. Albeit not for work. Thank you very much for recommending... They arrived today, very happy worn them. Thanks again. :-)

Depending on your budget Tory Burch tunics might fit the bill. Unless you work in an extremely conservative field they would definitely be smart enough in my opinion.

Some lovely ones in their sale:

What was the sizing of the Apricot tunics like, OP? I might order one or two but I'm between a 12 and 14.
Thanks.

Anjelika · 22/01/2015 09:48

Hi. I ordered some from Apricot last week and I would say they come up small. Hope that helps.

RoadRunner123 · 22/01/2015 09:49

Oh yes, thank you, I suppose I'll have to go for the 14 then! Were you pleased with what you ordered?
