Hello,

This is my first post ever do please excuse and mistakes! (all advice welcome)

I have a 5 finger width gap in my tummy which starts from my rib cage to my pubic bone.

I have a prolapsed colon which I'm scheduled for a corrective operation in a month. The surgeon also wants to fix my disastasis recti as it is also contributing to my symptoms. I have my disastasis recti corrected I will be left with a very long vertical scar on my abdomen. If I don't have the reci correction he can fix the prolapse via keyhole surgery.

The surgeon is not a plastic surgeon so I'm concerned with the results however Im trying to way up the pros and cons of having 2 operations instead of one?

I really want to get as much advice as possible before having the operation so I know I'm making the right decision.

This is why I wanted to join the group as it seems the best people with advice are those who are or have been going through the same thing.

I hope this all makes sense!

Try posting in general health, you may get some more advice over there
