Plus size dog walking coat needed - any ideas?

It needn't be beautiful as my dog loves me whatever I look like but it needs to be warm and waterproof - mid thigh if possible. Also I really hate those duvet looking coats that are so quilted and padded.

I don't want to spend a fortune but I'm sick of my soggy wool coat!

Thanks

These any good? It doesn't look mid-thigh, but it does look longer than typical for this sort of coat.

Otherwise, would you think about going completely long, and layering up under a Drizabone?

I use a Lands' End Squall for dog walking, it's the biz. They also do a longer version called Stadium Squall.

Thanks. It looks good and waterproof but not sure if its warm? I've got a good rain coat but I would have to layer so much under that it would feel a bit bulky.

I don't think I have the flair for the stockman look!

Very, very, very warm. I don't even zip it up unless it's below 5 degrees.

Trouble is that warm tends to mean padded, unless you can find somewhere that sells old fashioned duffel coats.

Lands End stuff is usually good (they have a really good returns policy).

I got one for exactly the same thing. I got it from Ulla Popken in the sale it came day before yesterday, it's well made, warm not too bulky and waterproof. It's done three dogs walks already one in torrential rain. I love it. They have a sale on at moment and lots of choice in coats. I can't get link to work will keep trying

I saw that lands end one and liked it but hoped to find a cheaper version!! I'll look at the ulla website too.

Thanks everyone!

Yes there are 2 the one I have is 696325 40. They only have it in 20/22 30/32 left. I'm a 22/24 and bought the 24/26 which is just right. The other one looks very similar just a bit shorter mine comes to just above my knee and I'm 5ft 8. It's very well made.

Thanks - the sold out size was the one I needed!

I've bought the long lands end ones - it was the same price as the shorter one . I found a 20% off code which helped. Bring on the rain!

Enjoy - not sure where you live but we have loads of rain here (Devon) and my coat has already done the job.
