I used to see a lot of these floating around but haven't noticed one in ages.

Dark green tailored shorts with faint polka dot pattern - also Zara
Short (almost cropped) tartan-y blazer - a charity shop find
Black tights - New Look
Black ankle boots - Topshop

Will chuck on big dark red scarf (River Island) and suede dark red gloves (Accessorize) when I pop out again in a bit, with a green coat and a black messenger bag.

I feel a bit like a farmer's wife, but I'm quite enjoying it.

I've never worn the sweatshirt for work before, but all the fash-bloggers say you can dress up a sweatshirt so I gave it a go. It looked OK actually.

Normally, I do casual Friday when working. Today is the first Friday I am back at work after 5 months of 4 day week. Normally a pair of skinny Gap jeans, and today it would probably have been a long coat style cardigan over a plain navy v neck top and my brown boots.

But - we are having colleagues from overseas visiting today so I have to be properly dressed. So slightly more dressed up than normal weekday wear. For ease, I grabbed my

Nice relatively neutral makeup, I actually painted my nails as well as I have a load of reading to do while it dries (Rimmel desire, a kind of burgundy/brown colour - rather than pale pink or pillarbox red options also in desk drawer)

yesterdays was johdpurs, riding boots, hoody, waterproof for most of the morning. then means, jumper, slippers for the rest of the day. sexy me.

today i'm wearing, striped black and white mini skirt, black fleecy tights, tan knee high boots, denim shirt. pink scarf with owl print.
