What blogs or pinterest boards do people follow for style and fashion ideas? I'm (just) 36 on maternity leave with my 2nd DS and am finally able to have a proper look at my clothes knowing I am unlikely to need maternity stuff again.

as Fairylea says I tend to do the online stores thing too. Oasis, Warehouse etc...

Also Asos have a chat style person so if you see a great skirt but unsure what to wear it with they will chat you through its options which you don't have to buy through them...

I'm lucky as have got trendy SIL and her SIL (also trendy) but they wear lots of Cos and other items and if I see women in the street wearing nice clothes I make a mental note to see if I can spot items in clothes shops. Friends are also a great help, we buy each other clothes as birthday etc presents or jewellery.

I do have trendy friends who are fashion and jewellery designers too (prefer some over others) but they're great to get ideas and inspiration from and will often suggest items for me. I will say this - the ones who look perfect with the kids (bloggers) these are the ones who would irritate me with their fan-base and followers and instagram. I really don't want to be part of someone's popularity contest and that's where bloggers don't appeal to me.

Millli have you looked at That's Not My Age? She doesn't do as many clothing posts as she used to (though am hoping this will change now she's finished her book) and her budget is a bit on the high side, but she has excellent taste.

The Guardian's Vintage Years blog is also great, though she's currently on hiatus to write her book (it must be catching).

Actually I should have listed this as well; the work wear edit is great for smart work clothes, my shape is totally different to Belinda but I still find it interesting and have bought a few bits she has road tested and recommended.

Shopgirl - work wear edit (only because I know the lovely Belinda posts here!) is the only one I'd look at, and that Susie So So one too as she seems normal.
