Cosy slippers with decent tread to avoid slipping?

I want to buy my mum a really nice pair of cosy slippers - ideally boot-type slippers. She has some wooden floors and I need to buy slippers with a decent tread to minimise the risk of her slipping and falling. Any suggestions? Happy to pay what is needed for the right ones!

They come in different styles and colours, I have on fair isle knitted socks, but also have the grey cable knit booties. Love them

My mum goes through slippers like there is no tomorrow. I bought her a pair of these for xmas 2013 and they are still going strong. They have a proper hardwearing sole and are very cosy inside.
I know they aren't boots but they are a shoe rather then a mule type slipper.

Crocs mammoth? Very popular with my dad as he has solid fuel heating so goes outside a lot to get wood, coal, etc from the shed, and was wrecking normal moccasin type slippers quickly. He suffers from bad circulation so warm slippers also a priority. These tick all the warm and hard wearing boxes plus can be machine washed!
