Crap hair

It's originally mouse brown.

Fine but thickened up by bleaching lots of highlights into it.

This means the roots come through pretty quickly and it look shit pretty quickly.

It's slightly wavy and below my shoulders.

I usually just bundle it up.

I am 6ft tall and am wary of short hair as I will look like a bloke.

I can't really afford to maintain the blonde as much as I should.

What to do? Go to mouse brown and run the occasional light colour through it?

I look awful with dark hair. Really washed out.

Sigh. I'm just so tired of looking like hell all the time.

ombre? Have it done first at the salon and then you can keep it up yourself pretty easily :)

Keep highlighting but get some darker colours through it, which will still make it look thicker but grow out less quickly. I too have crap fine mousy hair, highlighted to death - and very pale skin - but I'm quite pleased with the results of going a bit more natural. You'd get an extra month or so out of your highlights.
