I posted this question in someone else's thread but thought I should start one instead.
If I have a straight bob with some layers, will using the gadget make it look wavy like this?

unfortunately can't also give me her face and figure

I think the curls you are looking for are achieved with this: www.boots.com/en/BaByliss-Diamond-Waves_1500670/

otherwise, I'm sure it can be used as some sort of sex device (when unplugged, obviously)

I have one. First time out of the box the bastard cat knocked it off the table and it's not aligned anymore. Anyone know if I can get it fixed somehow? Never even had a chance to use it

Great comment, thanks all. I will avoid ebay, you're right Kato, not worth it.
I might splurge and get both the Curl Secret and the Diamond Waves. Hydepark, I see exactly what you mean Grin

I've just bought one, my hair is naturally curly but it's frizzy with it. I posted on another thread in S&B as I was worried I'd have to straighten it first with it being so frizzy, but I dont. The curls are mad though! Grin big ringlets, which need time to settle.
I did mine on Xmas eve and it looked really good for xmas day and still stayed in place by Boxing Day. All in all, I'm impressed, I have to work out what to do with my fringe though as I'm growing it out.

I did manage to get my hair stuck in it once though and it's very difficult to get out as it's very hot.

Saw the pro curl by Babyliss at Costco for £80 odd . That's the cheapest I've seen and you can return it if it's not for you.. Hth..

I bought one. I desperately wanted those lovely big curls, and I am rubbish at doing it with the straighteners. Turns out I am rubbish at doing it with the Curl Secret thing as well. I thought this gadget would make me into a hair styling guru but I just find it too difficult. Plus it takes so long.

I think if you are into hair styling and good at that sort of thing it would be a good buy. But if not it won't make your life easier. Will be ebaying mine.

I don't think it would do that effect in your picture either. I think it is good for very very long fine straightish hair.

I love mine so much brilliant buy! Used them on my mums hair this morning she has a bob and it looked great.

burnishedsilver my hair is long and I know what you mean about the flat roots and ringlets, but a bit of back combing and pulling fingers through the curls is enough to make them look amazing. Persevere and try different ways of 'finishing' your hair you might get more out of them!

has anyone tried the Trevor Sorbie one here? - www.boots.com/en/Trevor-Sorbie-Keratin-Argan-Magnetic-Multi-Wand_1337321/
I like LaurieFairyCake's analysis of achieving a modern look with the straight ends as in the photo. Wouldn't a wand as opposed to Secret Curl achieve this? Really enjoying this thread as I loved Caroline Flack's hair on Strictly in the final and it looks very similar to the photo above.
