Knickers!

I am the sort of person who buys a pretty new bra from Bravissimo or Figleaves etc, forks out for one pair of the matching knickers per bra because I think I ought to but then never wears them because I am much happier in a pair of cotton bikini briefs, not your fancy shiny lacy knickers that match the fancy bra. So inevitably I buy a couple of multipacks of colourful briefs from the supermarket and wear them until all the clothes have faded and run and they look like crap. I need to resolve this. What do 'normal' women wear in terms of everyday knickers? Please tell me that I'm not the only person who doesn't face the day without a matching lingerie set?! And what do you wear instead of cheap patterned supermarket knickers which are really only one step away from kids pants. I do even have some Marvel Spiderman ones. What is wrong with me?!?!

Those of you who only wear sets… do you buy the matching full knickers or the matching thongs?

Also, what the jeff are 'Brazilian knickers'?

I've got some of the matching knickers from Bravissimo but I think it's a complete waste of money to spend £16 on one pair! The are also bloody uncomfortable - I do not want scratchy nylon round my nether regions! I tend to wear M & S black cotton shorts and couldn't care less that they don't match my bras.

Victoria's Secret cotton pants are fab - 5 pairs for £20 and SO pretty, loads of colours and styles to choose from. I wear pants that are mostly black with black bras, ones that have nude in them with nude bras- eg leopard print.

I am with Lambz - matching sets. Usually a balcony bra with full brief or short. The one i am wearing at the moment is printed cotton - red with Christmas pattern. I only ever wear dark coloured bottom half as i am a pear shape and white trousers a la Liz Hurley would make me look like a heffa lump. I therefore match bra to top and pants to bra. Not worn thongs since pre children as i am a good stone heavier on the bottom and need full support / coverage.

I wear nude bras from bravissimo and get topshop knickers in sales or TK Maxx ones or Accessorize. I prefer a bit of colour and don't mind lace, French knickers etc. Urban outfitters also do naice ones in sale part too. Me and SIL used to do knickers as stocking fillers.

I match colours but wear JL tea shirt bras in black or white or nude and match with Sloggi Midi briefs. They look like a set even if not.

I like plain, functional underwear though.

BTw thongs are the work of the devil.

I am becoming a knickers aficionado. But still on the hunt for nude cotton knickers which aren't full brief granny pants. No VPL knickers come in sets with nudes but I want cotton not slippery shiny stuff like the VPL ones are made of. I rarely wear stuff that clings to my ass anyway. I got a lovely M&S multipack with broderie anglicise detail but they were black and white only. The search continues...

Brazilian are a cut of knicker. They were touted as THE knicker reveloution when (m&s?) introduced them a couple of years ago, but I don't get on with them. Sort of short / high leg hibrid, imo

I never wear watching sets but most of my bras or black or white so I tend to aldi buy lots of black and white undies. I wear all sorts, lace thongs, cotton thongs, french lace...I only don't wear full knickers because my bum is too big for them so I end up with a builders bum

Addicted: yeah I saw those but shorts don't do me any favours, bikini style are better. Plus the low ride thing worries me, probably means my arse won't fit in... They are in the 3 for 2 though so might get a few pairs just to try.
