I need some knee high boots.

casual enough to wear with jeans. but can be worn with a dress too.

preferably black. I'm a size 8 have wide ish feet so no narrow boots or spike heels.

slight heal ok buy no more than an inch or two.

Heel or wedge? Or would you really prefer flat?

These are lovely, I've got the ankle boot version. They come in brown and black and wide fitting.

I did like the biker boots though. Just a little over budget

Have a look in Russell & Bromley, I saw they had some lovely pairs of boots. Hope you can find what you want.

I'd try the clarks sale. I've loved all the ones I've bought from there.

I had my Clarks Orinoco ankles for about three years till they started to fall apart. So I bought another pair. They're so comfortable, it's like wearing slippers.

They are definitely on the list!!! I'm assuming that the fact I can't select black. means they are out.
