Evening ladies
I am shortly to become a SAHM and therefore need to up my non-work wardrobe. At the moment on my off-days I tend to mostly wear skinny jeans (the stretchy M&S bum squishing ones) and Breton style tops with a longer vest underneath or the odd boxy jumper if it's colder. That is going to get very boring very quickly worn 24/7. I prefer to wear dresses to work rather than trousers and when I do wear trousers I wear cropped ones with ankle boots. I also wear ankle boots with my skinny jeans. I am a 12/14 on top and 14/16 bottom E cup boobs (based on what Bravissimo say so I'm comfortable that's right!) I have several stone to lose and am 5ft 3. My main problem area is my belly at the moment. I have shoulder length dark blonde ombre hair with a fringe if that makes any difference. I tend not to wear much jewellery but am thinking that I might need to change that to give my everyday outfits some oompf. I do have a variety of chunky/statement/quirky jewellery that I wear for work but it gets neglected at home. Last year I banned pretty much all floral/bird print Fatface/White Stuff/Seasalt type items from my wardrobe as I felt it was making me frumpy. I would rather work with block colours, stripes or spots.
I do like Avril's style on School Gate Style but I get annoyed wearing a scarf round the house plus she's a lot thinner than me! Googling curvy/plus size style blogs brings up girls who are a LOT bigger than me and also who embrace their size in a way that I never will. I am unhealthily overweight and that WILL change but I need to find some style in the meantime. Can anyone point me in the direction of a style doyenne who I can follow for ideas of who to put cheap, flattering and non-frumpy outfits together?
Thanks
