Temporary Hair dye? Pointless?

I am growing our my hair colour - sort of golden brown while my actual hair is more dark brown

I am quite grey but I have an actual stripe where the colour is about 3 inches down my hair

it looks awful

Could I (should I) buy a temporary colour, not to colour the grey but to make the rest of my hair the same colour(ish) just over Christmas & while on holiday?

I really don't mind the grey, I dislike the stripe

Yeah go for it.. It's like having your nails painted or haircut in time for xmas, is nice to look and feel good

You'd need to divide your hair into sections and apply the dye onto the new growth. It'll be time comsuming (maybe use a dye brush if your dye hasn't got a nozzle)

Once it's dyed, try not to wash your hair for a couple of days, it 'takes' better

I've just done mine (permenant) but my hair is about 2" at it's longest so pretty much all new growth (with grey) . I've put the conditioning balm on but I won't see the full glory until tomorrow when I rinse it.
Could be a lovely surprise or maybe.......

I can't wait for the coloured bit to grow out - I do think it will look better

I thought am all over colour would cover the original grey & the coloured bits if I went a bit darker? although I am crap at this
