Tell me about primer please!

I don't wear much make up - sometimes eyeliner and mascara.

Someone told me that primer makes you glow even when you're feeling rubbish - I'm not keen on wearing foundation to be honest.

Please could someone explain what primer is, what it does and which I should buy? Thank you!

I wasn't a huge fan of primer til I discovered Boots No 7 Airbrush Away Primer. It makes me look slighly more finished and groomed. It also helps control oiliness without being over-drying.

You apply primer over moisturiser and under any other make-up (such as foundation and/or powder).

So I wouldn't say it makes you glow, but it certainly improves the look of your complexion. I wouldn't be without it now.

Thanks Petal - can you wear primer on top of moisturiser with nothing on top?

Yes, definitely. I always finish off with loose powder, but that's because I've got quite oily skin.
