Can anyone help...need a short shift dress

I'd like to buy a short dress that I could wear over opaque tights for a Christmas do. I'm thinking silky but not baggy. I'm size 10. Would it look ok with ballet flats? Thank you!!

What about this from Jaeger Boutique. You'd need to size down as it is a looseish fit.
