Cardigans

Please help me find the perfect cardigan!

Haven't bought any clothes for months and months as have been so skint. But I would like a new cardy.

I never get my ideal one. I would like a Grandad Cardigan. Not sure what colour.

I don't want it to be fitted at all at the waist etc.

Any ideas?

Have you looked on Woolovers?

WowserBowser · 07/12/2014 17:05

Have just had a look (thank you) but all a bit structured. I want something baggy, that looks like it is out if a charity shop. Or was my Granda's.

I'd love a comfy warm cardy too so I'm watching as well!

UncrushedParsley · 07/12/2014 17:07

Give us a budget then!

WastingMyYoungYears · 07/12/2014 17:11

I like the uniqlo merino ones - £30, machine washable, lots of colours...

WastingMyYoungYears · 07/12/2014 17:13

uniqlo cardigans

WastingMyYoungYears · 07/12/2014 17:18

Santa's bringing me one Grin.

WowserBowser · 07/12/2014 17:18

Uniqlo are my favourites! I have 2 short ones but I shrunk them in the wash!

I like the ones you have linked but they are a bit straight. As in straight lines.

Budget is cheap! As much under £30.00 as is manageable.

Ah, okay. I know, they're not quite boyfriend cardigans. I think they might look less straight when on Grin?

I had a nice M&S boyfriend cardigan once. I lived in it when I was pregnant.

The grandad style chunky cardis are £20 in Gap at the minute, reduced from £39.95. Dd chose a maroon coloured one to go to Santa, there were navy, cream & bottle green as well if I recall correctly.

WowserBowser · 07/12/2014 17:36

That could be true Wasting

Does anyone know what size I would get? I am 5'9" - in my head I am always a 10 but I am realistically more a 12.

I want it baggy but could it be too baggy?

Have had a look online Bear as they sound promising but can not see them.

I am thinking something like this - or is it grim?

I want to wear it over floral dresses etc to dress it down. Wasn't wanting it as chunky knit though. Or whatever that cable shit is.

The woolovers unisex ones are fantastic and not structured at all. I just bought a wine v neck one. it is great quality and really warm lambs wool. I've only just discovered woolovers and don't know how I managed without it.

WowserBowser · 07/12/2014 17:59

Ooh yes, I have just looked again. I do like the Unisex one! Bit expensive but would get it if there is nothing cheaper/I like more.

The Gap ones are very thick and reach the hip. I was very tempted by the navy to go with jeans.

UncrushedParsley · 07/12/2014 19:45

I got one that sounds similar at Matalan for £25. Will try and find a link

UncrushedParsley · 07/12/2014 19:49

here it is

UncrushedParsley · 07/12/2014 19:52

Might be too chunky for you though. It is quite straight, but such is the nature of the Grandad cardigan Xmas Grin It is warm though!

WowserBowser · 07/12/2014 19:54

I LOVE that!! Thanks Uncrushed !

You're welcome. I have an online code for 10% off if you want it, and if it works.

WowserBowser · 07/12/2014 19:58

Please!! Am just on the phone to my dad but want to ask you some questions about size etc...

OP posts:
UncrushedParsley · 07/12/2014 20:14

Have pm'd you. No way I'm putting my size on here! Xmas Grin

WowserBowser · 07/12/2014 20:15

Did you get your own size or bigger? Is it roomy? Grin

I am quite tall so would want it a bit bigger.

Did you get the emerald green? Is it greener in real life?

Sorry for all the questions - am excited!
