Levi Jeans

I am thinking of buying some jeans. I have not worn jeans for a few years but have seen some Levis that I quite like designed to fit women with - er slightly well endowed hips.

They are not the cheapest but Levis never were. I used to wear them when I was in my teens (many years ago) as they were the fashionable jeans to wear back then.

Does any one wear Levis and are they worth the extra money?

If you are thinking of Levi Demi Curve, I have a pair, and they were well worth the money. Thick, soft, stretchy denim, and they fit beautifully too.

I picked mine up discounted in TKMaxx, so worth a look. They had a tiny fault on the leg, so small I struggled to see it.

Ironic, seeing as you can pay top dollar for jeans full of rips!

I bought a pair and they must not have been the right ones for me because I've never had a pair of jeans that fit worse! They were the skinny demi curve ones and were just baggy in all the wrong places.

But I should have gone into the shop and tried different pairs on (but these were in the sale online!) so not Levi's fault.

I have three pairs of the demi curve skinnies in dark blue, black & grey. I love them and I would recommend going in store to get measured for the right fit. I had assumed I'd need the next 'curve' up and would have been disappointed with the fit but it was a quiet day in the shop and the sales assistant offered her help and I thought, 'why not?,' even though I'd normally mumble 'just browsing thanks' and make a sharp exit! She was great and I bought a pair that day. I bought the other two pairs online during the sale.

I'd definitely recommend.

I wear them and find they fit me really well. Wait for the sales to get some or they often have reductions like 30% off for Black Friday last week.

The Levis website has 30% off today using the code GIFT30.

I have a pair of the Demi Curve too. Bought in Costco - so not tried on.

They fit me perfectly - very comfortable and are wearing and washing well.

I struggle with jeans - small waist, larger hips - so these were a real find.

Interested in this this thread because I am bitterly disappointed in Levis. I wore them all the time in my youth, and middle age but the last ones I bought two years ago were crap material, thin and creasy. I have a pair from about 10 years ago that I still love, but they are much too scruffy and worn for best now. I have yet to find a good replacement except the occasional pair from charity shops. Ideally I would wear jeans all the time, but I can't find any that look good to dress up for the evenings. M&S even used to be ok and a good fit for me, but now the sizes are unpredictable and again the material is rubbish. I will try the demi curve ones if they are thick and stretchy, thanks for the tip.

I imagine that not all Levis are the same fabric.

DH has a pair which he bought in USA from a Levis store. They must be a different weight of denim as they are quite thin fabric- and do crease. He isn't that happy with them.

Thanks for all the advice.

I think I will get some Levi Demi Curves but wait until Christmas is out of the way and then try some on in the shops to make sure I get a good fit.

I have learnt not to buy trousers on line due to my shape!

I am currently wearing some Levi demi curve. They are slim leg and are very flattering. I have a 12" difference between my waist and hips and was delighted to see how good they looked on me. I bought them at the Levi outlet at junction 32 outlet in Castleford for £60 in April. They wash beautifully and are good quality. They are currently £80 on the Levi website, but I'm sure you could find them cheaper than that elsewhere.

TK Maxx often have Levis in at much reduced prices.

I have two pairs sitting in my cupboard that are unworn. DH bought them whilst in USA and they were dirt cheap. But he didn't realise that a size 8 here and a size 8 there, are not the same sizing Grin. I am thinking of sending them in to be tailored to fit me, but I haven't gotten around to it as yet (a few years on..)

But, I tried on some in the Levi store. They just do nothing for me... no matter which style I try.. the thing that I really dislike the most about them is that the back pocket sits low... so the pocket is on my leg, not my ass...

He brought back some for the dc too. The quality is way better than what we can buy here, and ds wore his for a good few years before the skinnymalink started growing.... He always say that they were his favourite jeans, but I cant justify paying so much for a pair that he will wear for about 6 months now that he has decided to start growing....

I am obsessed with levis. Exclusively wear levis jeans. I'm an hourglass and the bold curve is fab.
The jeggings are good too.
Last year I had two pairs wear out too quickly, but I was able to return them for a like-for-like pair under their 2 year guarantee.
Well worth the money imo.

Thanks for this thread! I bought some Demi Curve Slim last weekend and am afraid to take the tags off because they cost so much!

While I'm here - what flat shoes can I wear with them? I don't really like trainers and prefer not heels for everyday. chelsea boots? The bottom of the slim jeans would cover the top of the boots I think - or should I tuck in

I've looked at their curve jeans for the first time recently as I have a wardrobe full of "almost" jeans and I've come to the conclusion I need to pay a bit more for a better fit. But I'm clueless as to what to try! I'm a large 14 and recently bit the bullet and tried on a 32/32 and a 31/32 in the demi curve style - straight I think - but wasn't sure if they fitted any better to be worth the money. Or maybe I should have tried a different leg style or a bold? Too scared to brave my local Levis store and didn't gave the patience to keep going and getting different pairs to try in JL! Maybe I need to try again ... Confused

I agree with you Misguided I have Levi's from 12 years ago that I still wear. They fit beautifully and I still get comments about them.

I can't get on with the new ones at all. The quality and fit does nothing for me. I'm desperately trying to find something as good but can't find anything.

I am hugely pear shaped and take the "bold curve" and like the skinny boot cuts. They are nice quality but I only buy them in the US as they're half the price. I wouldn't pay £70+
