just got these delivered.

They fit, they are lined, feel good. The style is new to me - are they okay?

Or will everyone point at them and say they are mummy boots, and how dare I wear them as I only have two dc. Grin

Well I like them! Disclaimer: I am also a mummy of two DCs Grin

I don't think they are Mummy boots - they are a bit plain but not offensive IYSWIM

Brookville · 05/12/2014 19:43

I agree, they are mummy boots but they ain't offensive! As long as your bootcut jeans stay in the wardrobe Wink

RoRoRosie · 05/12/2014 19:48

Smile but my bootcut jeans flap around high on my ankles and then come the mummy ankle boots. Perfect , isn't it?Wink.

Love "plain but not offensive". That just about sounds up my lack of style. I think I shall have that inscribed on my tombstone.

But seriously, thanks for the comments.

Any ideas for less mumsy ones for the wide footed? I did the plain chelsea boot first time round and not sure I can bring myself to re-live those days...

Sorry Flowers

museumum · 05/12/2014 19:57

I don't think they are. "Mum" boots have a bit of a heel.
These are ok but they'd be 100% nicer in brown.

RoRoRosie · 05/12/2014 20:01

I wasn't offended bonhomme. I thought it was funny.

Brown? The brown ones are delicate suede and I thought I would scuff them too quickly. Might reconsider...

I like them. They give a nod to the current biker boot trend.

BeattieBow · 06/12/2014 09:18

I don't think they are, but it depends what you wear them with.

If you wear them with skinny black jeans then they're ok I think.

chelsea boots would be less mumsy.
