Nice handwash for downstairs loo

MATB1 · 05/12/2014 19:17

We've just redecorated our downstairs loo and I'm after a nice handwash that isn't too pricey DD1 has a thing about squirting it all out but is a bit different to the norm. Any suggestions?

I second (or third) TK Maxx for lovely hand wash at decent prices (£5 gives you loads of choice). And they arrange them by colour so you can easily find something to match Blush

Redcoats · 05/12/2014 21:35

I decant the Aldi cheapo stuff into a naice bottle I got in the sale in TK Maxx. Chavtastic!

sleepdodger · 05/12/2014 21:37

Method

BumWad · 05/12/2014 21:38

Body shop ones are nuce

Only1scoop · 05/12/2014 21:40

Mb....neroli

I also like the Original Sorce ones for a cheapie

BooDidIScareYou · 05/12/2014 21:44

I like Baylis & Harding Lavender...

MATB1 · 05/12/2014 21:58

Wow! I didn't expect so many replies.

I can't decide on decanting - Zara Home has some lovely bottles/pumps but I'm on the fence as to whether it's naff or not.

Method stuff has nice packaging... Oliver Bonas own brand also has nice labels.

And whilst I've got nothing in particular against b&h, they are essentially MB rip offs.

Method do some nice ones. They pump a bit of foam into your hand, which is easier to wash hands with, particularly for little people.

Apatite1 · 05/12/2014 22:26

I like the waitrose ones too esp the amber one.

ReinholdMessner · 05/12/2014 22:37

YY to Method.

Crumbelina · 05/12/2014 22:40

Not at all helpful but I love the Noble Isle Rhubarb handwash - 18 quid though! They have it in the ladies at Le Gavroche and I went to the loo about 3 times. Smile

RosesandRugby · 05/12/2014 22:43

I like crabtree and evelyn handwashes. Theres loads of different scents to choose from so difficult to suggest one in particular but I do like their range called Source.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 05/12/2014 22:46

Method foaming Christmas edition mint and vanilla. You will want to lick your hands after washing.

Apatite1 · 05/12/2014 23:05

My other half has already claimed noble isle whiskey for his bathroom when the house is done! I'll have to make do with waitrose Grin

cashmerecardigans · 05/12/2014 23:08

Waitrose ones are lovely - the sea salt and kelp one is gorgeous and a fab pale blue colour. Just over a pound I think

Mintyy · 05/12/2014 23:09

Bars of soap here as I can't justify all the plastic bottles from an eco point of view.

Pears is classic and makes the room smell nice.

MrsCurrent · 05/12/2014 23:10

Pears. I love the smell and you can call it retro cool.

handcream · 05/12/2014 23:12

I brought a Neals Yard hand wash about 5 yrs ago.....I fill it it normal hand wash and people often comment on how nice the Neals Yard fragrance is!

mowglik · 05/12/2014 23:38

I have molton brown hand washes and love the fact that you can still smell it on your hands after 10 minutes. Much cheaper but just as long lasting, rich and scrummy smelling are Scottish fine hand washes and hand lotions, think they are around £7 and I may prefer them to molton brown (waiting for those to finish then going to replace with Scottish fine au lait hand wash and lotion

TimeWarp · 05/12/2014 23:44

Di love the smell of Jason rose hand wash. It doesn't make my skin itchy either, some of them do.

wheatfreetoast · 05/12/2014 23:51

I like the mb orange one, not sure of exact name

Bearleigh · 06/12/2014 01:19

Nice soap for me too. I love the orange geranium one from Neals Yard: people comment to me how lovely the smell is.

SantasBassoon · 06/12/2014 01:35

I like Pears handwash. It doesn't smell like Pears soap (which doesn't smell like Pears soap used to anyway), but it's pleasant and the bottle is fairly stylish.
