Would you like this for Christmas?

And if not, what would you suggest (budget about £50)

Thank you....

I was just coming on to say Jo Malone, or a super post candle from Diptyque.

I've tried Jo Malone and Diptyque candles. I think they're a bit overrated love Molton brown ones.

Oooh, I might look at them then.

Please please just buy her vouchers or decent candles (Fornasetti, Diptyque, Daylesford). I would be described as glamorous (accepted it now, always wanted to be boho/surfer type) and am tough to buy for. I always gratefully accept all gifts and send the requisite thank you notes but use very little I'm given due to skin sensitivity or the fact that they're just not me. I'm too polite to say anything (unless it's my husband, he knows to ask!) but hate to think of the wasted money..

I would hate to be given make up/cleanser/handbag/perfume: too difficult too choose for someone else.

I devote my life to these choices (in amongst the big stuff, obviously) and if makes me feel guilty and horrid if I am given something like this that I don't use.

So I agree that a Space NK voucher would be a good thing, or Cult Beauty.

Ormonde Jayne are my candles of choice. 30% off today only and free postage. I may have accidentally gone there as a result of this thread and treated myself to perfume and body lotion incase DH is stuck for a Christmas present

I hate candles too. Loathe the smelly ones, and also they remind me of the impossibility of candles in my life.

I second NEOM candle! Or one of their gift sets with body products

I was just coming on the suggest a posh candle, but see several people have beaten me to it. Although I would not be that pleased to receive a posh candle myself, all the women in the up market magazines seem to love them !!
If you were set on getting her make up, how about the Urban Decay Naked palette, they always seem to get good reviews.

I vote voucher. I'm picky about smells (being heavily into perfumes) so scented candles would be somewhat difficult to buy for me. Voucher is the most foolproof way, even if not the most exciting.

I would be very wary of buying make up unless I knew the person's tastes very well indeed. But if I were to buy luxe make up for someone else then I'd go for Tom Ford personally.
