What colour tights?

I am wearing a pale pink knitted dress, with grey suede ankle boots on Xmas day. What colour tights should I wear, I have a feeling black would look too severe but would grey tights look odd?

How dark are the boots? A pale grey with dark grey boots might look OK.

No I think grey tights would look nice.

You could wear nude if you were worried.
