conditioning mask before colour?

My hair needs some serious love.

Had a trim last week (budget).
Need colour doing as obvious roots and old colour looking brassy. Will do home colour.
I picked up a conditioning mask today. Should I use this before the colour or is there no point before a colour?

I'd colour first, the conditioning mask might create a barrier and stop the dye taking as well.

Definately colour first. And use the mega condition that comes with the pack. Then keep your mask for a week or two later :)
