I've had a scroll through and can't find anything. Has anyone tried it? Is it worth the money? Does it wreck your lashes?

There is a thread where some posted pics to show how 'amazing' it is and just like every other photo everywhere of it it shows just how dreadful it looks. Thing big fibery clumpy spider legs

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 26/11/2014 10:02

Oh and you have to put it on over mascara (and the sticky stuff on between the two)

Pagwatch · 26/11/2014 10:06

Oh you should dig out that thread, it was hilarious.

Various sock puppets waxing lyrical about products they are trying to flog.
Someone posted pictures illustrating how great the mascara was but then admitted it was a completely different mascara and, when asked, refused to name the alternate product.

It's shit, it's pyramid selling and it apparently turns those selling it into arses. Grin

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 26/11/2014 10:47

Ah, but Pagwatch don't forget they are 'helping women all over the world to discover financial freedom' LOL

Pagwatch · 26/11/2014 12:13

Yes indee Grin

I love people who want to offer women financial freedom by asking them to hand over £60 plus.

lurkingaround · 26/11/2014 15:40

Here you go

Very entertaining thread.
Yes, so nice of those Younique people to share the secret to financial freedom.

Marcelinewhyareyousomean · 26/11/2014 22:04

Thanks Lurking. Hilarious comparison to Barbara Cartland.

I've been inundated with fb requests to buy and pics.

Back to the drawing board for mascara nirvana.
Wine Thanks all

Dear mumsnet collective

I have succumbed....

A friend of mine has been recruited by Younique (think Delboy - This time next year we'll be millionaires...) and because I love her in spite of her questionable business accumen I bought a mascara.

It is what it is - it won't take over the world, and unless you are careful you will end up with spider leg lashes.

I wouldn't buy it again and I don't like their recruitment methods but my lashes haven't fallen out and it came in a very nice box!

Please don't ban me from the style and beauty boards!!

Grin

Grin

You are ok there barbra Cartland.

Amrapaali · 27/11/2014 13:41

Yonique?? What a yonique name... I clicked thinking it was new kind of Vagisil. Grin

Amethyst24 · 27/11/2014 13:45

Amra YY - if I ever allowed a "consultant" to darken my door I would take great delight in annoying her by pronouncing it YO-neek. Or possibly Yonneek, to rhyme with Monique.

Hopingforpeace · 27/11/2014 13:46

Similar to aylesburyduck, my friend has started selling the stuff so I bought a mascara to show my support.
One word - yuck!
The fibres were very clumpy or landing like spiders legs on my cheeks! Worse still she is constantly on my fb newsfeed with yet another amazing shite product.

aylesburyduck · 27/11/2014 16:56

It could be worse Hoping - they could also be selling Forever Living and Amway Grin

WowserBowser · 27/11/2014 17:00

I have 2 friends on FB selling it. It is so annoying. I could block it but I quite like being irritated.

I always prefer the normal mascara side - the younique looks like when I was 18 and my mascara had dried up but i piled it on anyway.

Marcelinewhyareyousomean · 27/11/2014 22:18

Just noticed the typo in my title. got you-nique mixed up with yoniBlush

aylesburyduck · 28/11/2014 07:45

I think your typo is much better than the original name Grin
