Shoes with this dress? Help please!

My husband is graduating from his PhD on 19th December and I was hoping to wear this dress I've had in the wardrobe but never worn:

Would I be able to get away with coral coloured shoes do you think? I have a pair already that I love!

No idea re coral shoes, sorry. Have you tried them on together?

Tbh though, in December I'd probably be wanting to wear boots, maybe some v nice heeled shoe-boot-esque things.
