I want to buy a new lovely bag as a present for myself. It needs to be a shoulder bag, small enough to look cute, but big enough to hold purse, phone, Kindle, keys and a book if necessary. I can't bring myself to pay more than £1000, and would prefer not more than £500; but I have an extensive wardrobe of beautiful bags from the days before bag prices went crazy, and I can't get excited about (e.g.) Marc by Marc Jacobs or Michael Kors.
Any suggestions for something that will make my heart sing without making me feel ripped off?
